The climate

Pradanos de Ojeda is located at an altitude of about 945 m. (Church) above sea level. Located in a transition zone between the plains and gentle hills of the cultivated land and the top of the mountain ranges to the North, not far from here, in the Palentina Mountains, we can find peaks up to 2500 m in height.

The climate is therefore typically continental as corresponds to the whole of the Castilian plateau. It can be very dry and hot in summer (June to September) and very cold in winter (from November to March), the rain and snow are common during the winter months, as well as the heavy night frost, with very low temperatures.

"ya salió el aire" ... there comes the air!

However in Pradanos, possibly due to the topography of the place and the proximity of the mountains, during the summer months it tends to be very common that, in the evening the wind blows from the North. This tends to produce a typical exclamation point between the neighbors, "there comes the air" and a significant decline in temperature, with what there is to use a sweater or jacket, in any way the nights tend to be fresh, ideal for great night sleep, though, with a blanket.
